I hid my rattle at the bottom of the litter tray and piled a load of hay on top in a hope it would get thrown into the recycling bin & i could get a new one (even though I have one identical).
Anyway out the litter tray went to be changed & guess what back the rattle comes.
Aren't two foots sneaky checking the contents of your litter tray for things like that & telling me I would have to explain to the Council why there are non recyclable items such as rattles in our brown bin which is meant for hay and greens only if I hide it in there again & it is not found.
We were sorry to hear on facebook yesterday about Cedric hopping over the rainbow bridge , it brought back a lot of memories and it has been so so long, to our shame, since we have been on the Jetty's journal. Its about time we tried to get back into the swing of things.
There are three of us in the clan me Snowy, (apparently I am the rogue of the family - though I am a loveable rogue) because I am always begging for treats, cuddles and toasted tea cakes etc. Mum is putty in my paws!
Our Milly, she is a proper girl! Though she won't have anything to do with me or Dinky. Nobun wants to get on the wrong side of her. Last October we found a lump on her neck with was cancer, this was removed and Auntie Caroline said don't be surprised after the operation Milly might not feel like eating till she comes round, The first thing Milly did when she got home was dive straight into her food. Nothing, and I mean nothing, comes between Milly and her food! Dad says Milly would kick 7 bells out of anybun that crossed her with her size 10 paws!. Now thats what I call a proper doe!
Then there is my little brother Dinky, he is the shy and retiring type, he is very tiny and jet black, he can squeeze into the tiniest spots. Dinky is very strong for his size & can throw anything around even throws his little stool around, Dinky has decided he will try and keep the journal a bit more updated and wants to point out that he four years old now and so is not a 'kit' despite what Mum and Dad say!
Oliver and Twist our canary brothers are pensioners now, they must be 100 (well over 10 in human terms)
So that's our update.
Bye for now and we will get back into writing up Jetty's journal!
Sorry we have not written for such a long time. Things have changed here at the clan and I have now been given the task of being head of our jetty clan. Our Jetty left for the bridge three weeks ago, it was very sudden. It left us all shocked and too upset to write. By now he will be sunning himself with our big brother Lochy, little sis Sooty and all the rest of the fine buns over the bridge.
Obviously its hard continuing the training on my own of our 2 foots so I sent Mum and Dad to ask a little girly called Milly to come and give me a hand. Milly has been in rescue for three years of her life, i don't know why because she is very pretty. They told Mum and Dad at the rescue she never sold herself when anybody came, but we think its the 2 foots that never sold themselves to Milly!
Milly has been with us over a week and although she was very shy at first, she is coming out of her shell and joining in. In a week Milly has come on leaps and bounds.
Milly watches me and seems to copy me a lot, which is great cos I feel pretty cool having a doe watch me. Mum says I have to keep my eye on Milly and if she needs any help I am there for her, so I am very proud to be Milly's big brother.
Everybun must think we are strangers on the journal after so long away.
Well, we have two new additions to our clan, firstly there is Winston Gerbil, he was rescued from a hotel in Blackpool together with thirty other gerbils, Winston got picked on and bullied by the others so he had to be rehomed on his own, so we adopted him together with Flader-Mouse who had been in rescue so long he thought nobody wanted him. You have to blame our 2 foots for their new names.
Anyway both Snowy and I are okay, Snowy had a sprained paw and had to be confined to barracks for ten days and couldn't go into the front room and run round, Uncle Darren said to let it heal just like a footballer had to let a hamstring heal, he was not happy so he spent his time perfecting his begging for treats routine into a art form. Quite successful, in fact Mum and Dad started calling us a pair of rogues (whatever that means)? Snowy's paw has now fully recovered and he is back to charging round the place and jumping and binkying high in the air (best not tell Uncle Darren).
Its been fun reading all your 25 things and hope to catch up slowly and do our own too.
Yesterday my Tansy went across the bridge, I know most of you will know Tansy, my pretty girlfriend at the hairymob.
I am not sure what else to write but I thought this song by the Beatles is nice, its not a sad song because Tansy would not want that so here it is:-
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love. There's nothing you can do that can't be done. Nothing you can sing that can't be sung. Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game It's easy. There's nothing you can make that can't be made. No one you can save that can't be saved. Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be in time It's easy. All you need is love, all you need is love, All you need is love, love, love is all you need. Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love. All you need is love, all you need is love, All you need is love, love, love is all you need. There's nothing you can know that isn't known. Nothing you can see that isn't shown. Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be. It's easy. All you need is love, all you need is love, All you need is love, love, love is all you need. All you need is love (all together now) All you need is love (everybody) All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
We got a lovely suprise in the post this morning, well dad brought it home and it was some lovely cookies and postcards from Princess Taz and all our friends in America, there was even a map for us to find Merry and Ringo's town.
I know Sooty will be looking from over the bridge and be pleased with all the postcards, she loved looking at postcards and Dad says he will put them up in the kitchen for us.
Mum and Dad were really touched by the parcels and its a lovely surprise for them too.
Thank you for thinking of us,
love jetty and sooty xxxxx and olly twist Mum and Dad xxxxxxx
Dad is in the bad books with our wild bunny friends. On Saturday he was delivering some post to one of the local farms and he always drives carefully down the lane to see if he can spot any bunnies sunbathing, as they usually play out around the farm. Well there was one in the middle of the lane, soon as he saw the big red van our wild friend stared at the van and dad then did an about turned and ran in front of the van flicking his back paws as hard as he could (just like I do when its Panacur time), Dad said the bunny seemed very annoyed with him for disturbing him.
Mum said he would probably be reported to the rabbit council, if that bunny doesn't report him we will. How many treats do you think we should ask dad for to make amends?
